It is only about 2 weeks until we leave to begin our trip aboard the Viking River Cruise Ship "Bragi". We will join our traveling companions in Amsterdam on June 9th and begin our cruise to Budapest and, ultimately, Prague.

We depart for Amsterdam tomorrow, flying to LA and spending the night before continuing on to Charles De Gaulle Airport and finally Schipol Airport in Amsterdam. We found out today that Air France pilots will be going on strike on June 11 so it seems that we may be able to make the trip to Europe just in time. We will see how it goes.
Also, The rivers in Europe are quite high because of the large amount of rain that has been falling. The Seine crested a day or so ago some 20 feet above flood level. We will probably have to change ships somewhere in Germany because the one we are assigned to (Bragi) cannot make it back to Amsterdam as a result of the high water (can't get under some of the bridges). We will take its identical sister ship from Amsterdam to Nuremberg or somewhere near there and then change to the Bragi to continue on to Budapest.
